Required Reading

Life is complicated enough without getting into hotwater with federal agencies so: TAKE NOTE Many things I review I received at no charge in exchange for an honest review. Consider this as informing you that ALL things I review may have been gotten at no charge. Realistically about 40% but in order to keep things above board just assume that I got the stuff free. I do not collect information on my readers. If cookies or other tracking stuff is used on my blogs it is due to BLOGGER not ME. Apparently the European Union's new rules state I need to inform you if cookies are being use. If they are it isn't by me, consider yourself INFORMED.
Words like, “sponsored,” “promotion,” “paid ad” or even just “ad” are clear ways to disclose that you’re being paid to share information and links so BE AWARE that some of what I write can be described as an AD by the government. BTW I will NEVER say a product is great, super or even acceptable if it isn't, whether I got it free or NOT!

Spotlight on Silver by Dylan Thayer

A brutal murder rocks the quiet town of Mattfield, Kansas — the kind of place where this doesn’t happen. Sheriff Carl Mills, on the edge of retirement, investigates an animalistic killing even as he faces his own demons. Meanwhile, high-school senior Brett Adams and his family are pulled into a 150-year-old legend that refuses to stay buried.

Monsters are real. Some of them are human.

For fans of Stephen King, Dean Koontz, and grounded horror thrillers, SILVER delivers a slow-burn mystery that explodes into visceral terror. Readers praise its “compelling characters,” “fantastic world building,” and twists that “kept me guessing until the very end.”

Dylan Thayer

Dylan Thyer is a life long Kansas resident. His formative years growing up in southeast Kansas inspired the setting for his debut novel Silver. A lifelong horror enthusiast who wanted to add his voice to the genre. Dylan also loves to read non-fiction, thoroughly enjoying ancient history.

Dylan finds inspiration from his favorite author, Michael Crichton (Jurassic Park, State of Fear), among other great storytellers, John Carpenter and Stephen King.

He's a Pitt State University Alumni (2014) with a degree in Business Administration. After spending over a decade working in the oil and gas industry he sat down to write his first novel,  following his writing passion that began in grade school. With enough life experience and understanding to craft captivating worlds, in 4 1/2 months of 2024 he sat down and wrote his first novel, a story he had thought about telling since 2017.
